There once was a young girl named Abby who loved to camp. It was her favorite thing to do. During her adventures, everything was usually normal - nothing out of the ordinary. This time, however,  something breathtaking happened. It all started when the bright orange fire glowed in the dark night. There were colorful lights hanging on the camper that was parked just above Abby on a hill. There were crackling sounds from the fire, and faint hoots from a nearby owl. Calming sounds of the crickets chirping by beating their wings together. The green grass swiftly blew under the picnic bench, while Abby happily ate smores, under the night sky. She looked up and saw stars. Abby loved the way they shimmered against her eyes. When looking up at the sky, Abby not only saw stars, but planets too. Abby could also spot the big dipper through the green leaves from the tree above.

Abby saw something bright falling fast from the sky. She instantly knew it was a shooting star, so she closed her eyes and made a wish.

“I wish…. I wish I could have an animal to snuggle with and share lots of memories with,” Abbt whispered.

By the time Abby was finished, the star disappeared just beyond the horizon. She sunk back down in her chair, and kept her eyes looking at the sky. All of the sudden, a bright blinding light flashed before her. Abby still looked at the sky in shock, until she felt something warm, licking her on the cheek. She immediately looked down and saw an animal in front of her, a gryphon. The whimsical, dreamy creature just stared at her curiously. So… Abby stared back. Then, the animal followed her to her trailer. In the trailer, Abby taught the Gryphon about the stars and how to wish. Slowly, they started becoming friends. Abby now knew - her wish came true.
