The Galaxy
Sumedha, 8th Grade
I stare wistfully at the future, a future seemingly uncertain
Though I do not perceive, I do vision
They swirl together like stars melting upon the otherwise barren skies
They form a shape, one I've seen- no heard before
Thoughts forgotten for long yet vibrant like new
The vibrancy is one that a peacock would envy
BUt it can not hear or see these mental hallucinations
They are mine to bend and swirl
Like the cosmo of a Milkyway
At once they stop or disappear
They are seen only by brave ones
Ones who bend the will of timelines
Are those who do not understand their own
And when it glows everlastingly
Their fear turns into hope
Once a doubt becomes a truth
It enlightens a path one calls a Ruth
Ruth shines bright as she remembers
The timbers that started in late November
The joy it brought
So long sought
Is one that people tend to fear
But do not worry my greatest dear
Follow this path
Because it is not your last
It is sworn to you
By the love of the moon
