Remembering Gold Rush

In fourth grade, which was in 2022, we had the gold rush field trip. I don’t remember a lot. On the way there our bus was really nice, it had neon lights and really comfortable seats with seat belts. For outdoor ed, we had a regular school bus with okay seats and no seat belts. We immediately had an introduction to the camp and we did a skit. We had groups but we had cabins not with our groups. My cabin was really fun, we made as many jokes as we could before lights out. I got really cold. I wore as many layers as I could. I covered my face so much that sometimes when I talked, I was muffled. My group was one of the few that helped out with the kitchen. After eating we had game time and we could sort through water with sand to find gold. The water was really cold and my hands became white with orange circles. I found some gold although my bottle containing it and my pouch got messed up on the ride back. The beads on my pouch fell off and got lost. The last day, the second day, we hiked and visited an old town then went home.
