Do That Again!

(Halloween Dance, October 2024) 

I walked up to the line at the gym where some kids were waiting. My dad walked me in and finally some of my friends started showing up. After one of my friends arrived my dad left and we waited in line for 10 more minutes. While we were waiting all my other friends showed up. We finally checked in at the ticket booth and walked inside. The inside was loud with a DJ in the corner blasting music. There were lights behind the bleachers and projectors lighting up the ceiling. There were a few tables for eating food and a photo booth near the door. A taco truck was pulling up outside too. Me and my friends danced for a while and after an hour and a half we went outside to get food. I ordered a taco and some drinks for me and my friend. While we were ordering a shaved iced truck pulled up and a long line formed. After we ate, my friend and I ordered shaved ice and shared it together. We danced for the rest of the night and near 8:45 most of my friends left. Only two of my friends were left by 9:00 and I got picked up then too. I shivered as I walked to my car as it was chilly outside and all I thought was “I totally want to do it again!”  Hopefully there will be more dances to go to in the future!
