I Stayed at School ALL Night!!

(September 2024)

My dad and I finally arrived at the North Star campus. I am greeted with the smell of popcorn and a view of multi-colored tents. I walk onto the field and I immediately spot my friends. I rush over and say hi.  While me and my friends are talking, the minigames finish up which leaves the perfect time for finding a spot to campout. I sprint so fast to my dad, who is blabbing to one of the teachers. I motion him to the perfect spot of the field.

“ Here,” I say, telling him we should camp here. 

It's the perfect spot, away from the bugs and on the dry part of the field. As soon as my dad agrees it's a good spot, I start to build my tent. I am just about finished with my tent, as it's getting late, when I hear a siren blast.

“1ts time for the movie,” Mr Havey announces. As laughter and excitement fills the air, I rush to find a good spot. Before I know it, the movie is over. I sneak into my dads tent to find my dad sleeping. I get out of his tent and slowly enter mine.

I think about how much fun all of this was. When I close my eyes, I immediately dream about when the next campout will be.
